It was a windy day with a strong southwesterly wind blowing at approximately 25 mph. The sea was choppy and as we left the Lymington channel and its restricted speed limit the Sunseekers opened their throttles. The Sunseeker Hawks are a bit faster than the much larger Sunseeker Predators but there is not much in it.
As we cruised towards the Needles the sea and wind was right on the nose and the smaller Hawks were pitching heavily as they pounded through the waves. The much heavier Sunseeker Predators cruised in style and despite the heavy seas they were remarkably stable and flat demonstrating the outstanding sea keeping capabilities of the Sunseeker brand.
After photos at The Needles it was a blast to Yarmouth, Isle of Wight for lunch at Salty’s. On this leg of the journey the hawks with their highly skilled skippers were cutting under the bows of the larger Sunseeker Predators and literally disappearing from sight as they ducked under the bows of the larger vessels.
Passing within a few feet of the Predators it was a real adrenalin rush for the passengers.
