A fresh south westerly breeze was blowing bringing warm air into the Solent from the Azores. The prevailing winds in the Solent are mainly from the southwest. Today the kite surfers were out in force utilizing the strong winds to fill their kites and lift them high above the azure waters of the Solent. Surfing over the waves at speeds of up to 20mph.
